Here we go....

So, I am going to try to blog on a daily basis....kind of like my journal. The only bad thing about blogging is the world can see it and I feel like I have to censor some of what I am feeling so I don't make any one angry. Ugh, I hate that. Not that I want to talk badly about anyone, but I want to talk candidly about how I am actually feeling about things. Oh well, we shall see what happens.

Olivia turns 4 next Tuesday! So hard for me to believe. Some days, it feels like yesterday that she was born, but others, it feels like longer than 4 years! She is amazingly smart! I am surprised every day with the things she comes up with. We do the horizons homeschool curriculum and she loves it, although I feel sometimes she is smarter than the book, so we have to add things to challenge her. She gets bored very easily, so this keeps me on my toes. We all know that bored kiddos get into trouble quicker, so I have to get creative.

About 7 months ago, I took a big step and decided to stop eating meat. I haven't gone completely vegan, mainly because I am addicted (and I do mean addicted) to Greek yogurt! It makes me happy! I haven't regretted my decision to not eat meat. (Although, there have been days that the smell of steak cooking makes me hungry, but then I remember why I stopped...and the feeling quickly passes.) I read the wrong book . Thus, changing my opinion on all things meat related. (if you decide to read this book, be warned, the language, is bad.)

I am currently training to run a 10k with some friends. I should mention that I jumped in to the week that they were running 4 ten minute stretches....that was a lot of running for me! Tonight, we start 18 minutes of running 3 different times....could be interesting. I am excited. I never thought I would say that I like running, but I do. I am thankful my friend Cheryl, helped encourage me about a year ago to start running, but taking a break was the absolute worst thing I could have done! After we do the 10k, we plan on training for a half marathon, and then a full marathon! (I am also doing some p90x and some wii fit-I know, I'm crazy!)

I think I need to share that the wild girl that I love so much is currently walking around the living room, eating yogurt with chopsticks....she's a goose!

I have been spending some time sewing. My friend, Chrissie, opened a consignment store in November and I had the opportunity to make some Christmas shirts for her store. I got the best book a few weeks ago. I love all the patterns and all the cool fabrics she uses. (I think Shreveport needs a cool fabric shop!!!!!)

We are trying, STILL, to get pregnant. It's really tough and if Olivia has anything to do with it, I will have twins. She asks Jesus to put 2 babies in my tummy EVERY night when she prays, it's super sweet! I am praying that one day, hopefully soon, He will answer our prayers!

Okay, enough for today. Time to entertain the girl!

I decided to lay off meat for a little while. I don't eat a lot anyway though. How has it been for you? I couldn't go vegan, I love my greek yogurt too...and all things dairy.
